Almost a year after the release of his third studio album "Inner Dynamics" that got rave reviews and a first release from NPR Radio in the U.S.A, Theodore, always creative and creating, ends his touring year with a North-Central Europe Tour, ready to present new songs from his up and coming next album and keeping us on the line for his next release.

Having toured in southern Europe and U.S.A., including his second consecutive live set at the SXSW Festival in Austin and the highlight of his Tiny Desk Concert, Theodore visits favourite venues and returns to some of the greatest european cities for one more gig in 2019.

Multi-instrumentalist and composer Theodore’s cascading new LP Inner Dynamics, was announced on NPR’s All Songs Considered by Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton, who also premiered third single, ‘Disorientation’ on their show. The Greek artist had already garnered considerable success with his previous album It Is But It’s Not; however, where his previous album attempted to explore the interaction of opposing elements in the universe, Inner Dynamics finds Theodore looking inward to examine the dualities of his own identity in search of new creative potential.

“On It Is But It’s Not, I tried to explore how the opposite elements in the universe interact, how they fight and how without the one you can’t have the other.” he says, adding, “For Inner Dynamics, I was trying to express my urge to connect the conscious and subconscious part of myself so I can be creative. It’s an understanding that humans are not just one thing, and they shouldn’t try to hide certain elements of their personality because society likes to put labels on who we are. It’s the different sides of myself that make who I am.”

With over 2 million YouTube views, Theodore has supported Sigur Ros and DIIV at Release Festival, graced the stages of Reeperbahn Festival (Best Performance Of 2017), performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag and showcased his talents at this year’s SXSW Festival – where he was picked as NPR Music’s ‘SXSW 2018: Favorite Discoveries And Memorable Moments’. Theodore has received support from tastemaker publications such as CLASH Mag, Music Week, Tsugi, FGUK, Gaffa and Szene and radio play from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne, while his single Towards? (for what is to come) is currently playlisted on renowned national radio stations NPR All Songs 24/7 Music (USA) and Flux Passport Approved (Germany).

Based in Athens, Theodore‘s schooling in piano and traditional Greek folk music led to a professional music career in London, where he studied Music Composition in 2011. His debut album It Is But It’s Not, was mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, Moby, M83) and performed live at the fabled Abbey Road Studio 2 in London. Theodore’s atmospheric sound is created in cinemascop: an epic mix of classic, piano-driven compositions, with electronic elements ranging from ambient and minimal, to gritty 80s synth-wave. Repetitive drums and shimmering guitars lie under the monolithic songs, topped by Theodore’s hauntingly beautiful vocals; mellow and powerful, hypnotic, lamenting and stirring.

Theodore has also written music for theatrical pieces such as Matina Megla’s Window, Vladan Nikolic’s film Bourek, and was commissioned to write a new score for Buster Keaton’s classic silent comedy of 1928, The Cameraman. Theodore and his band then performed the score live to the film screening, in the unforgettable setting of the Temple of Zeus in Athens, which he describes as “one of the best moments of my life.” Theodore has gained notoriety for his memorable live performances, dazzling audiences with his mesmerizing stage presence and show.

Theodore’s intoxicating LP Inner Dynamics is an emotional whirlwind of kaleidoscopic texture; “Disorientation” begins with mystifying whispers, and a pulsating bass until Theodore’s heavy-hearted voice brings in dream-induced dramatism. The gentle yet thought provoking “Alcyone” is soaked in glimmering pianos and a composed atmosphere. “Floating” is an ethereal merging between the ocean and the sky, Theodore’s powerful, reverb-drenched vocal delivery portrays his ability to lull and immerse simultaneously, before erupting into a driving post-rock sections. The album’s closer, “Fluttering,” is a sincere reflection on the album as a whole; concise percussion and drum rolls sit beneath emotive pianos and synthesizer bliss.
